The best meal we had in Barcelona was at the tapas restaurant Lolita - used to be called Inopeia. No reservations accepted, just show up - if you’re lucky they’ll give you the one table at the top, otherwise you have to sit at the counter.

Our favorite dish was the aubergines amb malassa de canya (eggplant with sugarcane molasses), followed closely by the fromatge a la graella amb mel de tofona (grilled cheese with truffle honey).
